Kangana Ranaut dons Jayalalithaa Avatar

Ace actress Kangana Ranaut is all set to play the role of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayaram Jayalalithaa. Jayalalitha was also an actress & she did over 150 films including Kannada, Tamil & Telugu films. She was called the “Queen of the Tamil Cinema”.

The biopic of Jayalalithaa is named “Thalaivi”. Kangana Ranaut’s look revealed in the movie’s poster today.

Kangana can be seen wearing a dark green saree, with a bun hairdo. The impressive look has Kangana donning thick prosthetics, but still managing to bring through the soft Iron Lady’s soft smile while flashing her signature victory sign.

Her impressive look in this upcoming biopic is the work of renowned Hollywood prosthetics artist, Jason Collins, who has worked on films like ‘Blade Runner’ and ‘Captain Marvel’. Interestingly, the actress will reportedly have four different looks in the film to best replicate her changing features and ageing through the course of the film.

For her role in the film, Kangana has been taking lessons in Tamil and has also been learning the classical dance form – Bharatanatyam, videos of which we have already seen online. Kangana’s sister Rangoli surprised also surprised the fans by sharing a short teaser of the film on Twitter.
