On Sushant Singh’s Death Anniversary Fans Demand ‘Justice’

Exactly a year before on June 14, 2020 the sudden death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput jolted his fans and his colleagues from the film industry. It was followed by grilling of several Bollywood celebrities by Mumbai Police, Narcotics Control Bureau and Central Bureau of Investigation. But, nothing concrete emerged.

A year after the death of the promising star, fans and friends continue to seek justice for the late actor. The scores of fans of Sushant Singh Rajput took it upon themselves to begin the fight for justice. Sushant continued to trend on various social media platforms not for days but for several months.

It was also the first time that the industry witnessed such a massive fan following for Sushant. Several Bollywood celebrities too were badly trolled by the fans of the late actor. The trolling was such that they had to resort to changing the settings of their Twitter and Instagram account so that users were not allowed to post comments to their account. The sudden death of Sushant also reignited the nepotism war and fans of the late actor continued to boycott movies of several Bollywood celebs.

Today on the first death anniversary, scores of fans assembled outside the building of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’s actor to pay their tributes with candles. 

A photo has surfaced on social media that shows fans assembling outside the building where Sushant lived. In the photo, fans can be seen lighting candles in front of Sushant’s photo. Next to the photo, a placard can also be seen that reads “Fair Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput”. 

Meanwhile, the CBI still continues with the investigation of the late actor’s sudden demise. Several fans of Kai Po Che’s actor continue to seek answers on Twitter about the untimely death of the actor. 

Earlier, the investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput was launched by Mumbai Police, and then transferred to other agencies namely Enforcement Directorate, NCB, and CBI. A couple of days back, a friend of late actor Siddharth Pithani was arrested by NCB in the narcotics case. The investigation pertaining to Sushant’s death still continues amid demand from fans for fair justice. 

Fans also decided to celebrate the rich legacy that the actor left behind as today marks the first death anniversary. They celebrated the outstanding work performed by Sushant and also honored his humanitarian efforts on Twitter.

Sushant Singh Rajput made his debut from Television industry form the show “Kis Desh Mei Hai Meraa Dil way back in 2008. The show was produced by Ekta Kapoor. It was followed by Pavitra Rishta in 2009 opposite Ankita Lokhande. It was Pavitra Rishta that provided massive fame to Sushant. After ruling the hearts of audience for some time, Sushant made his Bollywood debut with “Kai Po Che”.  The film was equally loved by critics and viewers. 

According to reports, the late star also lost several films and some of these may include Padmavat, Bajirao Mastani, and Ram Leela. Sushant was also supposed to star in Half Girlfriend but he was reportedly replaced by Arjun Kapoor. 

The last film of the actor was “Dil Bechara” which created a huge record as it settled at an IMDb rating of 9.8 out of 10.
