Pakistani model Humaima Mallick’s debut film ‘Bol’ is now ready for release in India this month. Humaima was recently in news for her relationship with former Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram. Akram has been very popular among Bollywood actresses ever since he associated with Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders.
If sources are to be believed then he had a steamy affair with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. He started dating Humaima after she separated from her husband.
Humaima is a popular face in Pakistan and her movie ‘Bol’ was released there in June which generated a lot of interest among cine goers and cricket lovers.
Taking advantage of the recent buzz crated by her in India the producers have decided to release the movie here. Humaima is quite excited about this development and now looking forward to sign any Bollywood project. “I am currently looking at a Bollywood project, with which I will surprise my fans,” she told .a Mumbai based tabloid recently.
Bol is directed by Shoaib Mansoor, who earlier made the critically acclaimed Khuda Ke Liye, which starred Naseeruddin Shah and Pakistani actors Shaan and Iman Ali. Humaima has Pakistani singer Atif Aslam (Doorie, Tere Liye) as her co-star in Bol.
The 25 year old actress loves the attention she gets in India for dating a celebrity like Wasim Akram. She admits that her 20 year plus age difference with Akram is seen as an aberration in India but back home in Pakistan it is something which doesn’t raise many eyebrows.
