IFFM was founded in the year 2012 in Melbourne, Australia. The best of Indian cinema are recognized and awarded in IFFM. It is celebrated annually and this year the event is taking place from 8th August to 17th August.
Many big movie stars from the Indian film fraternity attend this film festival, different events like award presentation ceremony, dancing, singing, movie screenings take place in IFFM. Actors, directors, producers from Bollywood, South Indian cinema and regional cinemas attend this festival.
Shahrukh Khan is the chief guest of this year’s IFFM. On 8 August, he danced his heart out in one of the events. While Rani Mukherjee attended the tricolour hoisting ceremony followed by India’s National Anthem.
Its done every year in order to celebrate the Indian cinema’s achievement in Australia and all over the world.
Film star Shahrukh Khan was felicitated with the Excellence in Cinema Award, Tabu won the Best Actress award for AndhaDhun while Vijay Sethupati won the Best Actor Award for Super Deluxe and Gully Boy won the Best Film Award.
Arjun Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar, Rima Das joined Rajiv Masand for a candid chat in IFFM. Regional cinemas movie also get recognition in the Melbourne Film Festival.
