Actor Aamir Khan arrived at Ramlila Maidan on Saturday to show his support to Anna Hazare and his crusade against corruption.
The ‘3 Idiots’ star along with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani came to Ramlila Maidan at 4 in the afternoon. News of the superstars visit to the venue had been doing rounds since morning.
In fact, it was earlier reported that it was Aamir who gave the idea to Team Anna, to single out MPs and ask them to take a stand on weather they were pro or anti-Jan Lokpal Bill.
Aamir appealed to Anna to break his fast and requested the people of the country to exercise their right to vote. Aamir said, “I have come to meet Anna and to give him a hug as he has enlightened us all”. Aamir said that he had read the Jan Lokpal Bill, and he supported Anna and his team. “I support the bill,” said Aamir.
Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani also requested Anna Hazare to break his fast and lauded his effort and the revolution that he has brought in the nation. “We have a new Gandhi in Anna,” said Hirani.
Many of the Bollywood stars have come out in support of Anna. In the past few days, actors Om Puri and Raghuveer Yadav have also visited Ramlila maidan.
