Red is, indeed, a head turner! Kiara Advani turned all heads as she stopped the show for Amit Aggarwal in his ‘Lumen’ collection.
Looking truly the muse of a designer, the actress of Kabir Singh fame walked down the ramp in a combination of jewels and dress that can never go wrong:
green statement necklace on a deep red lehenga dress!
But that is as much as can be said for Kiara Advani and the designer! A combination that can never go wrong, that is to say, a SAFE combination.
Indian wedding seasons have flooded the red lehenga-dress and green statement necklace combination. It has now come to a passé!
Kiara Advani in her simplistic makeup, pretty face and amazing demeanour, took the show away. But the Indian Couture Week is a lot more than the famous faces. Amir Aggarwal chose to play safe where he could have brought original game to the ramp!
Kiara Advani needs a more original stylist before she fades into the dimmer areas of a ramp. While she looks ever the beauty, we cannot say the same for her dress. We’ll be watching your fashion choices, Kiara! Filmi Files is your one-stop goal for the best online magazine on the tinsel town and its Stars.

Leena Yadav directorial Parched has been shortlisted to be the opening film at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The director says it is a huge honour for her.
The festival will return with its opening night on August 11 with Yadav’s film starring Radhika Apte, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Lehar Khan in key roles.
Yadav said in a statement: “It is a huge honour to be the opening film at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2016. This is also because the journey of Parched started in Australia.”
She says she was “on a jury of a festival in Brisbane and that is where I started writing ‘Parched'”.
“And that is also when I attended a talk moderated by Mitu Bhowmick Lange. There is a design to the way things pan out!” she added.
Set in rural India, Parched follows the lives of three ordinary women who begin to break free from centuries-old traditions. The film has been jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Aseem Bajaj, Gulab Singh and Rohan Jagdale.
The festival will flag off in the presence of veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who will be the guest of honour at the event. Some of the best films will be screened and will be followed by an award ceremony felicitating the best in cinema on August 12.
The festival will also celebrate the many aspects of Indian cinema with activities such as dance competitions and several master classes conducted by the best in the business.
It will conclude on August 20 with the screening of Angry Indian Goddesses. (IANS)
R&B star Rihanna was honored with the 2014 Fashion Icon Award at the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America awards. She completed the outfit – what there was of it anyway – with a pair of sheer lengthy gloves and headscarf to match the dress. With her nipples in full view along with her pert bottom, the 26-year-old simply added a nude thong and used a pink fur wrap around as a way of protecting what little modesty she had left.
Rihanna, 26, looked stunning as she hit the Big Apple for the colorful carpet at the CDFA awards on June 2 in a sequin dress and head scarf, reported the Huffington Post. The ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker showed off her entire body in the dress and teamed it with a super sexy smokey eye and long, dramatic lashes.
Previous honorees of the fashion icon award have been Lady Gaga, Kate Moss, Nicole Kidman and Johnny Depp.
