The first official trailer for James Franco’s new film Oz: The Great and the Powerful has been released by Disney during Comic-Con 2012. Besides James Franco Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams are expected to play key roles in the movie.
Sources in the Disney informed that the movie will soon start filming so that it is released early next year in 2013. Directed by Sam Riami ‘Oz The Great and Powerful’ is a prequel to the events of the classic 1939 movie ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
Twihards will be delighted to know that Summit Entertainment has released new still pictures which give a sneak peek into the forthcoming ‘Breaking Dawn-2’ of the popular twilight series. These pictures give prominence to Edward and Bella Cullen’s daughter Renesmee who has been recently introduced to the world.

( By Akshat Sharma) They are back again! Wielding gizmos as guns and comfortably tucked in their tuxedos these ‘Men in Black’ take vow to free the mother earth from creepy aliens. It has been ten years since they charmed the audiences with their antics in ‘Men in Black 2’ and boy what a comeback it has been in ‘MIB 3’. This third instalment is much better than the earlier two.
Shot in 3D this movie gives you a new cinematic experience as the aliens from space look more mean and deadly. Agent J (Will Smith) and Agent K, played by Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin, take us into a different era. Josh Brolin plays Agent K’s younger life. Brolin does well in his role and he brings the movie to life after a sluggish set-up.
The movie begins with character called Boris who is the last remaining alien warrior of a species dedicated to universe domination. He was captured 1969 by Agent K but somehow he manages to escape special lunar prison. He wants to give it back to humans so revenge becomes his modus operandi.
Boris wants to kill Agent K and escalate the problems of the earth by unleashing mass destruction. Agent J stops him and becomes successful in his mission. When he wakes up he finds a new world around him. His partner Agent K is gone, the sky is filled with jellyfish-like weapons. He also has a new boss in Agent O played by Emma Thompson.
Agent J is concerned about Agent J whereabouts. He comes to know that Agent perished in 1969 and the Earth is about to be overtaken by aliens under the leadership of Boris. This forces him to use time travel as a technique to save his friend and defend the earth from its foes.
Using the powerful time machines developed by aliens Agent J successfully travels back to meet Agent K played by Josh Brolin. They join hands and decide to fight to finish against the alien race.

DC Comic movie ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is gearing for a July 20 , 2012 release. This movie is eagerly awaited worldwide and experts believe that it has the potential to smash all records. Setting up the tone for July release the producers have released a set of character posters for Batman, Catwoman and Bane. Painted with dark colours these pictures look pretty impressive as if the three characters are braving a storm.

This year 2012 is the best year for Indian cinema as four films will be participating lected at the 65th Cannes Film Festival organized in south France. This is for the first time ever four Indian films will be participating in different competitive categories.
First film is ‘Miss Lovely’ a movie directed by Ashim Ahluwalia. This movie is set in 1986 Mumbai which portrays the story of two brothers who make underground films (with titles such as Lady James Bond) for a small-town picture house.
Second movie to participate in Critics` Week at the Cannes is a Hindi movie named ‘Peddlers’. Directed by Vasan Bala this movie is about three characters who meet in Mumbai.
Third is renowned film maker Anurag Kashyap’s two part series named ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ which is story of coal mafia spread in Dhanbad region of undivided Bihar.
And the fourth Indian movie participating at the Cannes this year is a classic movie ‘Kalpana’ which was made in 1948 by Uday Shankar. This Indian film is being restored by Hollywood’s living legend Martin Scorsese.

Mumbai: (PTI) On the eve of release of the spy thriller `Agent Vinod`, director Sriram Raghavan says that the audience will be “surprised” to see the other side of real life couple Saif Ail Khan and Kareena Kapoor on the screen. Since the time they started dating, Saif and Kareena have acted together in two films, namely `Tashan` and `Kurbaan`, however, both the movies failed to click with the audience.
“For us that was (pairing Saif and Kareena) something we were conscious of….But it did not scare me…I took it as a challenge. Here he (Saif) is playing a spy, don`t know much about him, his past, what he would do next, while Kareena plays a mysterious girl who Saif encounters in Morocco. I am not making a love story with them, I am making a plot driven film,” Raghavan told PTI in an interview.
The Saif and Kareena-starrer spy thriller is scheduled to hit the screens tomorrow. “Probably, viewers would expect something…I hope we kind of a defy that and so they would be like surprised seeing a different kind of a relationship that they have seen (between the two). Even the audience would forget that they are a real life couple. They would be seen in a different way..,” he said.
The director said it was Saif`s idea to cast Kareena opposite him in `Agent Vinod`. “Saif and I thought of coming together with a spy movie as we both liked the old `Agent Vinod`. The fact that Saif has his own production house and Kareena as his friend and also that she was not cast in `Love Aaj Kal` so Saif asked is there a role for her, so I told him let me finish the script first,” Raghavan said.
“I did not want to give Kareena a role just like that, I wanted to give her a good role as she is a fantastic actress. So if they are real life couple or not I don`t care as long as I get two good actors in my film. My only worry was that she might say is the role good enough for me, but she was happy with the role,” Raghavan said. His earlier two movies, `Ek Hasina Thi` and `Johnny Gadar`–both thrillers–did not have much of song and dance, unlike `Agent Vinod` which has an item number, a Mujra and a few other songs.
“The earlier movies were small and I had then thought that I don`t need to incept song and dance, but `Agent Vinod` is a big adventurous film. I am still to get over my inhibition of getting my hero suddenly burst into a song and dance….Iam not good at that, though I love watching it,” the director said. Justifying the need for song, Raghavan said, “Agent Vinod needs flamboyant music. The song takes the story forward and does not just interfere in between…with each song something else is happening”.
On Kareena`s maiden mujra, the director said initially they were undecided whether the actress would feature in it.”Initially we were not sure. She plays a character in the film and we did not want her to suddenly burst into a Mujra, like a typical Hindi film. We did not want tha…but we got that link,” he added.
