However, with the shootings resuming whilst keeping in mind the social distancing rules, the movie will be released by the end of 2021. The much-anticipated Brahmastra starring Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and of course Ranbir Kapoor, Brahmastra is an action fantasy movie being produced by Karan Johar. The story deals with the main character embarking on a journey of self-discovery and how the mythological forces transport the audience to a world beyond the imaginary! Alia and Ranbir will be sharing the silver screen for the first time and the fans couldn’t be more excited!

The drama set in the 1800s produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Karan Malhotra is another one of Kapoor’s projects that was scheduled to be released in 2020. The cast contains Vaani Kapoor paired alongside Ranbir and Sanjay Dutt playing the role of the antagonist in the film. As per the rumors, Ranbir will be playing a double role in the movie and his character is said to be ‘unrecognizable’ by many. The film is said to be about the fight of a tribe against british rule and is set to be released on June 25, 2021.

Famous for his comedies such as Pyar ka Punchnama & Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety Ranjan decided to cast Kapoor in his upcoming untitled film. The film will also be starring Shraddha Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, and Dimple Kapadia and is set to release on March 18, 2022. It has been ages since the audience has seen Ranbir in a lighter role and many are excited about this! As per Shraddha Kapoor, the movie is a Rom-Com but more details on the movie are awaited.
Animal
Filmmakers Gulshan Kumar and Sandeep Reddy Vyanga have scheduled their movie ‘Animal’ for a Dussehra 2022 release. The teaser on Twitter with Ranbir Kapoor’s voice in it made the fans go into a frenzy! Starring Kapoor in the lead and Anil Kapoor donning the role of his father and Parineeti as his wife, the film may have Bobby Deol playing the antagonist. Said to be a gangster drama, the film will see Ranbir Kapoor in a role like never before. It is said that lead was offered to Mahesh Babu who refused to play it, feeling the script to be too dark, as per Hindustan Times. The gunshots in the teaser hint at some action-packed cinematography. The thriller is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Murad Khetani & Krishan Kumar. Ranbir Kapoor in a recent interview shared how he grew close to the character in the film and his admiration for Sandeep Reddy and his films!
