Shilpa Shetty’s life is in turmoil ever since her husband Raj Kundra has been arrested in a pornography case. Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai Police on July 19 and since then there is no respite for him. Yesterday, his judicial custody has been extended by another 14 days. The businessman was taken to Arthur Road soon after his medical examination.
Shilpa Shetty’s stole in the case was also investigated. However, no solid evidence has emerged so far that proves that she was involved in the pornography case. According to latest reports, Shilpa has not been given clean chit in the case yet.
Meanwhile, when Raj Kundra was brought to his home by Mumbai Police for the first time after his arrest Shilpa Shettycould not control her tears. The actress shouted at Raj and wept, revealed police sources.
“We have everything and what was the need to do all this,” said Shilpa Shetty to Raj when he came to their home with the Mumbai Police for a search in connection with the pornography case, added the sources.
Raj Kundra’s role is under investigation for reportedly producing and streaming porn content via mobile apps. Police took statement from the actress as well when they searched the bungalow in which Raj and Shilpa Shetty reside with their two children.
According to sources Shilpa Shetty said to Raj, “family’s reputation was ruined, their endorsements in the industry were being cancelled and that she had to give up many projects”. She also spoke about some financial losses.
Meanwhile, police are also probing why Shilpa Shetty resigned from the position of director from Raj Kundra’s Viaan Industries last year. Shilpa’s financial documents are being audited, claim sources.
According to police, no evidence has been found yet that suggests Shilpa had an involvement in the case. Police questioned her twice so far once at the police station and second at their home during search.
Sources also claim that it not been established whether ShilpaShetty had any knowledge of Raj Kundra’s alleged porn films business.
Police sources also claim that no electronic, financial or documentary evidence has been found against Shilpa Shetty in the case. And, no witness named the actress either.
Police said that Raj Kundra is “not cooperating” with the investigation. Earlier, Raj Kundra had challenged his arrest before the Bombay High Court. So far 9 more people have been arrested in the case that included Raj’s close business aide Ryan Thorpe.
And, to make things worse for the businessman, four employees of Raj Kundra have tuned witness against him and they reportedly claimed that they were asked to delete some clips.
Latest reports also suggest that Sherlyn Chopra has also turned a witness in this case.
