It is a comic take on sex-disorders, as a taboo in indian society.
While movies like Vickey Donor openly talked about sperm donation, Khandaani Shafakhana is a feminist take on the issue. Women working for, and talking about, sex related disorders is considered a huge taboo in our society.
The trailer itself normalises this taboo by it’s comical projection of the matter.
Sonakshi Sinha has done a variety of roles and proved her mettle in Indian Cinema.
Her role as a happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl fighting indian societal constructs with an innocent and hilarious approach, is enticing.
Varun Sharma of Fukrey fame has brought his signature dumb-and-funny guy commentary to the trailer, and will hopefully come through on the same footing for the movie as well.
