Nobody imagined that a movie based on aliens would make it so big in Bollywood and would go on to create several records at the box office. But, director Rakesh Roshan took the risk of making a film on aliens and it paid off. Fans loved the film which starred Preity Zinta, Rekha, and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles. The success of the film also paved the way for Krrish franchise in Bollywood.
The first Krrish film released in in the year 2006. The superhot Bollywood film starred once again Hrithik Roshan in lead role along with Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, and Naseeruddin Shah, among others. Krrish was the sequel to 2003 released film Koi Mil Gaya and linked to the story of Krishna, the son of earlier film’s protagonist, who inherited his father’s superhuman qualities.
Krrish turned out to be a blockbuster film and a trendsetter in Indian cinema. Following the success of Krrish, Krrish 3 was made and released in the year 2013. The film. featured HrithikRoshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, and Vivek Oberoi. The film was also highly successful and set a new era in Bollywood.
Rakesh Roshan has revealed that he will soon begin work on Krrish 4.
Meanwhile, Koi Mil Gaya was Bollywood’s reply to Hollywood film such as E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. Rakesh Roshan’s film remained highly successful in introducing Bollywood to its first mainstream alien.
Rakesh Roshan got huge inspiration from the success of Koi Mil Gaya and eventually made Krrish and Krrish3.
On August 8, Koi Mil Gaya completed 18 years of it release. Hrithik Roshan celebrated the day in an unusual manner. The actor remembered the famous alien character Jaadoo from the film and revealed that he has turned 21 years old. So as the film marked 18 years of its release on Sunday, Jaadoo also celebrated his 21st birthday. You must be wondering why Jaddoo celebrated 21st birthday on August 8? It is because Jaadoo was just 3 years old when Koi Mil Gaya was made and he was introduced in the film. Koi Mil Gaya also was one of the highly popular films among children. Children loved the role of Jaadoo and Hrithik in the film.
Hrithik Roshan also took to his Instagram account and shared two screenshots of popular character Jaadoo that included one featuring him as well. The post has already been liked by 2.4 million people. Check the screenshot below:
Rakesh Roshan also posted his comment to Hrithik’s post and said, ““Jaadoo a miracle Happy 18th Birthday.”
Hrithik’s former wife Sussanne Khan too commented on the post and said, “Sweetest face ever.”
