The OTT (Over-The-Top) apps have left behind the days of television and are even giving cinema halls a run for their money. From Netflix to Amazon, Hotstar, TVF and whatnot, there is a marked shift from tele to app streaming.

These applications are advertisement-free platforms of viewing motion pictures and series’ by the viewer who have no time or patience for add-breaks. They even allow the viewers to skip the introductions and introductory songs of their favorite shows. They are in sync without fast and the furious generation that consumes data from all sides, all at once.

In a world where justice and crimes are just a few tweets away, a revolution in entertainment was only logical. India is at par with the international revolution in the entertainment industry. It has been generating back to back good content on Amazon, Netflix and TVF etc.

From stand up comedy specials to TV series, indian cinema has found a new platform too.

While Hollywood made the shift a while ago, Bollywood is making the shift from big screens to OTT only now. With actors like Manoj Bajpai, Radhika Apte and mainstream actors like Saif Ali Khan are coming on various trending series’ on Netflix and Amazon.

The biggest win for these apps that is unanimously being advocated by the youth of today, and their candid content generation. These applications bypass the problem of censorship and stream unedited videos and movies. This appeals to people because these apps give the freedom to choose what they watch in their hands. OTT is the new Black and we are loving it! For more bites, Filmi Files will keep you updated.
